This is an ongoing series of articles written by its creator Bob Wright. Understanding Suspension properties and what they mean is the key to making smart setup choices. There are many suspension properties that affect how you’re on road or off road vehicle handles. Some are much more important than others. We will be focusing on the ones that have the most impact.

Most are listed in the Suspension Properties values in the image to the left.
Throughout this series we will be using RC Crew Chief (RC3) to graphically illustrate making setup changes. If you wish to follow along with the demos then you can download RC3 here. The program will install in Trial Mode which means a few file management functions are disabled but otherwise it’s fully functional. All the on road and off road models that will be used in the demos are also pre-installed to make life easier.
